HOW TO MAKE A MATTHEW’S FIX


1 1/2 oz Henebery Celebrated Whiskey
1/4 oz Creme de Violette
1/4 oz Allspice Dram
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Ginger Syrup
Soda
Lemon Twist
Combine all ingredients, add ice, shake, strain into hi ball over ice, and top with soda.

Over 120 women gathered on June 28, 2016, for a night downtown at the University Club atop the Symphony Towers. They were there to celebrate and support the 13th annual Champagne & Purses party, hosted by It’s All About the Kids ® Foundation and Partying for a Purpose. Hello Spirited Citizens, our Henebery team has brought you a riff on your typical old fashioned with a Chai Spiced Old Fashioned.


RECIPE:


2 oz. Henebery Celebrated Whiskey


1/2 oz. Chai Simple Syrup


2 dashes Angostura bitters or R&D Aromatic #7


The first thing you’ll need to do is create the chai simple syrup. For this you will need to mix equal parts sugar and water (1 cup of each). Bring the water to a near boil and take the water off the heat then add 4 chai tea bags in the hot water and steep for 3 minutes. Remove the bags, add sugar and stir to dissolve. Allow the syrup cool to room temperature prior to use.
